back on topic: the 007-006 one was great. All played out with slick editing and no music to increase the drama and tension of the scene. I like the idea of equally matched fights (unlike the TND one with Carver).

One question tho, how does 006 not die from that fall.

007 vs 006 was a fantastic remake of that scene, but also stands very well on it's own. That was a brilliant confrontation.

And as for it being in the wrong forum...yeah, more people read the DAD board but I think most people, including myself, use the "today's posts" feature rather than going from board to board and would have seen it anyway.

Definately the most brutal fight scene since the Bond/Red Grant fight. One of the high points in Goldeneye for me.

Spot on with that observation. The common thread between both fights is that Bond is up against someone who's physically his equal and you're not sure how Bond will survive the encounter as well. The best part of the Bond Trevelyan fight at the start of the sequence: Bond tosses 006 down a flight of stairs and shoots as him as he falls. Totally callous and totally keeping with the Bond character. The films need to get back to this type of action- not just explosions and automatic weapons fire.
Bond v. Sanchez could've been something to see, but there was this truck filled with gasoline and cocaine...
