I honestly dont think he needs to smoke. I think its the worst habit in the world. Even though he does smoke in the books of the beginning, theres no need and it doesnt really matter so i think theres no point and he should not be doin it.

Well Bond's character and smoking have roots, so whatever anyone thinks of it, it's Bond choice, and shouldn't be influenced by movie goers and fans, if your a flemming purist, then I want to relate to the character of Bond as he was created, I think drinking, and the whole shaken and stirred thing is just as bad, alcohol seems to be more accepted, their both bad, but Bond lives on the edge, so let him live how he wants.
