The visuals are awfully uninspiring - not the great step-up from Xbox and PS2 that we should be getting. Bond's movement and general look seems awfully empty and puppet-like, and the action seems absolutely bog-standard. (Also, I've never cared for the 'Simple Simon' cinematic/interactive mix. After Spidey 3 and Bourne, I think it's clear it makes for a bland experience, however nifty the visuals.)
In a world of Halo and Bioshock, being a so-so FPS isn't enough - neither with flat, standard environments, nor repetitive, uninspired gameplay. The licence will bring the sales, I'm sure - and I fully admit that we've only seen a few clips, so the game itself COULD be great - but so far this isn't shaking my Martini.
Weird that I'm not holding a new game to the GoldenEye standard any longer. Even living up to Everything or Nothing would be a start!
