I read the interview by Nigel Farndale linked to the Quick News section. I see she poo pooed The Avengers as usual. I was hoping Mr.Farndale would ask her about OHMSS. I'm curious as to whether or not she would poo poo that.

Apparently she'll only talk about The Great Muppet Caper these days...

I enjoyed the interview immensely. She comes off there as a fascinating woman with a bracing intelligence, as always. From the interview she sounds as if she approaches life in relentlessly unsentimental fashion, always looking forward.
THE AVENGERS and OHMSS took up a very small part of her seventy plus years --over forty years ago-- no matter how important they were to her fans. She's moved on. Curiously, that sounds a very Emma Peel thing to do.
In retrospect I'd be vaguely disappointed if she did anything else frankly.

As a staunch Avengers fan I have no qualms with her comments. She has simply moved on from that brief time in her life, and I frankly can't blame her. If that bores her now I see no reason for her to pretend otherwise.
It does make me more appreciative of actors like Patrick Macnee and Joanna Lumley who are happy to fully embrace the show.

I don't see how she "poo poo'ed" THE AVENGERS. She respects it, but she doesn't dwell on it and she wants to be recognized for who she is not a character she played for a few years a couple of decades ago.

I think Diana Rigg's attitude is refreshing compared to other actors or actresses who have never gotten past their careers and are still talking about the same stories 40 years later.

Like Sylvester Stallone with his new Rocky and Rambo movies, and Harrison Ford in his new Indiana movie?

Being an actor would be a whole lot easier if one didn't have to bother w/ fans!
