Another thought just occured to me about the snow scene.. It could take place in Austria after Bond kills White (according to the spoiler..) Bond and M could have their confrontation outside a hotel or someplace in the city.

It couldn't happen in Austria. First, because in that specific scene, we see Russian letters (cyrillic) in the background. And we also know Bond's confrontation with Yusef occurs in Moscow.

This is all crap, guys. I wouldn't make too much of it.

Well if it turns out that I was wrong about this, I'll gladly admit it.. but I'm not quite ready to say so just yet..Too many things about this guys post just make sense with what we see in the trailer and it does fit with the story..at least to me. By the way, I must have missed the post somewhere that confirms that Bond's encouter with Yousef occurs in Moscow.. do you have a link to it or can you point me in the right direction Harmsway? Thanks..

Taking the information that's already out there and the trailer, you can draw the conclusions that sound plausiable.

But the errors he makes elsewhere condemn him. This doesn't match up with what we do know about the film in any respect, especially in regards to Fields' death. I even believe Forster stated we wouldn't see flashbacks of Vesper in the film itself, though she would be mentioned, something boldly contradicted here.

Nevermind that there's no way the final shot of the movie is that trailer moment with Bond raising his gun. First off, do you really think Forster's going to mimic CASINO ROYALE's finale? Nah. And second, we know the Moscow scenes come *after* the desert material.

There's nothing about this that's particularly convincing. I could have made a hell of a lot more convincing plot synopsis and slapped it up on IMDB, no problem.

By the way, I must have missed the post somewhere that confirms that Bond's encouter with Yousef occurs in Moscow.. do you have a link to it or can you point me in the right direction Harmsway? Thanks..

It's from Vauxhall. And Vauxhall has his source in order, believe me.

Ah, but films change over the course of the editing process. Who says Vesper will not appear in flashback form? Forster has a creative vision, I could imagine him doing something like this. Just like Hunt did with the W.H.A.T.T.I.T.W montage in On Her Majesty

The other errors are still enough to damn these "spoilers." And from IMDB, no less.

This is someone with an above average knowledge of the movie, has followed the making of. But they have no real inside information and have certainly not seen an assembly edit or rough-cut.
They know a few things from avidly watching the internet and are attempting to join the dots, that’s it.
There are at least 2 things in there that I know to be false.

Yeah, it happens all the time. Especially on IMDB.

Exactly! I just dont know why people cant belive it

Because it has false information that clearly clashes with what we know to be true.

End of story. I don't know what else you need, but this chap is clearly making crap up.

Sounds to me like this guy is just making stuff up based on what he saw in the trailer.

This was the red flag for me, and correct me if I misunderstood this scene (potentially huge spoiler here):

What does 'to impale' mean?

Impalement is a term that refers to situations in which objects are driven through the body, causing deep stabbing wounds. It can refer either to accidental events or to deliberate wounding used as a method of torture or execution. A further use of the term is found in stage magic, where illusions such as Impaled simulate accidental or deliberate impalement.

They could have shot different versions of the scene, it's plausable... We dont know much anyway so you cant rule it out. It is a possibility.

I don't get why you're making excuses for what is clearly nonsense. It doesn't match up with what we do know about the film (making some huge errors), it reads like fan-made crap, and comes from IMDB. All three very big strikes against it.

Last week Forster did an interview with MSN. And he said this:

"We have four weeks to cut the film, then we have a preview."

http://commanderbond.net/article/5276

This means, that the first internal preview of the film only will take place in 3 weeks. So no way this imdb-guy could have seen a rough cut of the movie.

There is no evidence to suggest that this is true. But at the same time... there is no evidence to suggest that it is false. So dont get carried away because it might be fake.

As was pointed out on the IMdB boards - yes, I looked it up - there's a few small errors in it:
Spoiler

Now that may only be a small detail, but it strikes me a a pretty big plot point.
Spoiler

Minor details, perhaps, but it's the small things that unravel larger ones. I have no idea how long it takes to edit a film, but with filming wrapping up a week or three ago, it seems very early to have a rough cut already ...
