I was in Malibu on Monday and decided to go find the Memorial...
...just thought I would share the photos for anyone who is interested...

Countessa Lisl gets a memorial.

Malibu looks a nice place. Skegness with sun.

Kool.

I went whale watching off Monterey (in Monterey Bay specifically) in August, 2006. It was quite an experience...the dolphins were 'bow riding' alongside the boat in the hundreds!

I then drove down the Big Sur coast and through the Santa Monica mountains into Malibu a couple of days later.

Nice part of the world.

You still with Zencat, Athena?

I'm thinking Beach day in Malibu is going to have to be a habit. Don't know why I've not been there more often. It's really very very nice.

(With zencat as friends, yes.)

Malibu is pretty nice. Head south a couple of minutes and you are at the Baywatch beach (Will Rogers State Beach). If you've ever seen that show, it'll give you an idea of the area.

IMHO, the sand is a bit nicer a couple of minutes south of Malibu.

Just of note, we had some good friends build a house in Malibu recently, unfortunately, the wife passed away before she could ever live in it. they built the house on the hill side. It was a major undertaking to get those pillars built to keep that thing secure.

The memorial is pretty cool, but the sign, oh, well, I know another list with ten rules that are far more important.
