I don't recall ever seeing this one before, but let me know if it's been used already.

I will be on vacation next week, so I'm giving all of you a choice:
  • an extended contest to be judged when I return
  • my good friend Judo Chop can judge it next Tuesday, July 1st
So when you post your captions, post your preference as well.

I'm headed up north to Drummond Island. My aunt lives up there. It will be a week of four-wheeling and beer drinking, with some shooting in my spare time.

As punishment for the "curry" joke in "Octopussy," Roger Moore (seen here with police escort) is sentenced by Indian law to walk the streets of New Dehli for one full day in a safari suit, Elton John glasses and man purse.

The plan backfires when Moore decides he likes the look, adding black socks and tan loafers to complete the ensemble.

Locals are flocking to the grand opening of Madame Tussauds in Mumbai. However, the disappointment on the face of one local man, expecting a Daniel Craig figure for the garden party section, could not be disguised as he found the available Bond figure was severely out of date.

Roger: “You know… I just love that accent of yours. I don’t know how your tongue doesn’t get tired smacking against the roof of your mouth all the time like that, but the effect is just so 'bubbly' and refreshing... kinda like dipping the testes into a warm Alka-Seltzer bath on Sunday morning. You know, I hear that you people have a special connection with long, spitting snakes. Say… have you ever been inside a Turkish prison, Habib? Oh wait… let’s do this photo-op first, then we’ll talk…”

It wasn’t long after the Octopussy crew arrived in India that director John Glen made the decision to do most of Roger’s scenes back at Pinewood studios.

*************************************************************

So… I vote that Judo chop gets to pick the winner. Annnnd…

WE HAVE A WINNER FOLKS! IT’S JUDO CHOP BY A LANDSLIDE!!!

No, really… it is. And I swear the decision was completely fair and in the best interests of the group too, or my real name isn’t Mugabe.

Have a great time up at Drummond, Kilroy - the weather's been *awesome* up here in Cadillac and Traverse City the past few days.

Just try not to combine the beer drinking *with* the shooting

I just hope the weather holds. And I never combine drinking with shooting. Everybody knows guns and alcohol don't mix. That's why you get your drinking done beforehand.

Keep 'em coming, folks! It's only been one day, and I'm already seeing some fantastic captions.

I've also decided to postpone the judging until I get back. The caliber of the captions I'm seeing has me convinced that I don't want to miss anything. :(

Pilot: I know you from somewhere...
Roger: Yes that's quite possible
Pilot: You're Niles from Frasier aren't you?
Roger: Nope, try again
Pilot: You're Elton John
Roger: No
Pilot: Deirdre Barlow
Roger: No, I'm Roger Moore
Pilot: Who?
Roger: Roger Moore!
Pilot: Sorry never heard of you. Oh look, there's George Lazenby!

Okay, everybody, I'm finally back from my vacation. And without further ado....

In fourth place, with a great Simpsons reference, we have David_M.

With the "Goofiest Looking Old Duffer" Award now tantalizingly within reach, Roger Moore seeks Apu Nahasapeemapetilon's advice on growing world class muttonchops.

In third we have Judo chop's masterpiece.

In second is ms minniespinney, with a great Proclaimers joke (my mother has ruined The Proclaimers for me, by playing them over and over and over... and over).

The Proclaimers aint as good lookin' as they used to be.

And taking the cake is Skudor, for perfectly capturing the look on Mr. Baghwati's face.

Mr Baghwati was lost for words when the famous actor, whilst pinching his bum, asked him if there would be time for "hanky panky" en-route.

Take it away Skudor!
