JB is certainly getting on in years, unlike the other JB. The oesophagus operation must be taking it out of him.
While on the subject of Barry literature, do you, or anyone else for that matter, know of a book called: John Barry: A life In Music.
Abebooks.com only has one listed, so it must be rare. And so is the price at US$89.00!
It's published by Play It Again (the record label?), and the bookseller's narrative describes the book as being "ten years in the making" and is "the only book to take a detailed look at the musical career of John Barry".
As descriptions go on abebooks it is quite lengthy, yet curiously, no mention of his Bond work is made.
If anyone has this book, can you tell me about it, please.
