OK, so we all know the famous line Bond delivers in the book...

'Yes, dammit, I said "was". The bitch is dead now.'

But how does he say it in Casino Royale? I've been having a playful argument with a friend over this, as I'm certain he delivers the line like this...

'Why should I need more time? The jobs done, the bitch is dead.'

However my friend thinks Bond utters these words...

'Why should I need more time? The jobs done and the bitch is dead.'

Now we've played that scene over and over, and he hears 'and' yet I don't, thinking it's just crags voice crackling in preparation to say 'the' Ok, so the script is on my side, but the subtitles and many other friends are on his.

What do you think?

It's 'Why should I need more time? The jobs done, and the bitch is dead.' It may say otherwise in the script, but that is not the finished product. The subtitles back up my claim.
The 'and' bit is mumbled.

I haven't watched the film in a while, but I seem to recall not hearing an "and". I am thinking of the line in my head right now, and I'm not hearing an "and" in it. I could be wrong though.

Frankly, I've begun to doubt that any of guys have really seen the movie. Having seen it thirty times, I tell you with total assurance that what he really says is this:

"The job's done, moreover the b**** is dead."

Debating over whether he says 'and'? Now I have seen it all.

Your choice.

But how does he say it in Casino Royale?
What do you think?

According to this spoiler trailer of Quantum Of Solace, He says "The job's done, the  is dead" (it shows a flashback of what previously happened)

I was merely asking a light-hearted question about a line in a James Bond film. If this isn't the place to do it, then I beg your forgiveness.

I think you need to find better friends, sir.

Anyway, to avoid being accused of not contributing anything to these boards, I heard "and."

I still feel aching solitude, having heard 'moreover.' (Teary-eyed Dodge emoticon.)

I'll give you a quantum of solace, then, in saying that I heard "The job is done, and, moreover, the bitch is dead." :(

My brother and I have just watched it on the projector with the surround sound whacked up to full (much to my sister in laws displeasure!) and there is most certainly an and in there.

Just watch the scene again with headphones on and cranked up, yet I still don't hear an 'and' in there. I guess Daniel Craig is the only one who really knows

I just looked at the leaked script. It says: "THE JOB IS DONE. THE BITCH IS DEAD."
