'Breakfast with Bond' and more

Spike TV released their June 2008 Highlights and they list a James Bond marathon that begins on June 30 but they only have one day on these highlights which I would assume is the beginning of a July 4 marathon since in the highlights they mention premieres on June 30 which one would assume this is the beginning of a marathon. June 30 just happens to be the last day in June as well and is the Monday of the week leading up to the 4th of July so one could assume that there could be a marathon where every day during this week would have a full day but since the rest of the schedule won't be released until the July highlights come out we won't know for sure but I think there is a good shot of a 4th of July marathon.

Sounds about right to me. When should we expect the July highlights? Roughly this time next month?

Yes, but it may come out earlier because of the marathon.

Unfortunately there won't be a July 4th marathon according to the July highlights and the full day of bond movies was part of a week marathon of Spike TV's signiture programming. A hudge dissapointment especially since they are only playing the brosnan movies on the day deticated to James Bond. Why could'nt they have played some of the classics like GF or TB on that day and they have played the brosnan movies to death on this channel.

Instead of the July 4th marathon there will be another (sigh) Breakfest with Bond maration. When will the schedule makers learn that it isn't good to have the same type of marathon when the viewers are just tired of it. I mean it was a good marathon when it was first done but they have done it so many times that it gets repetitious.

Heres the July Highlights:

I thought all of the Bond films, were going to the USA network? I believe I read this on a forum here. USA won the rights to Casino Royale I know.

Will USA be showing all of the films together later in the year?

They should give them nicer versions of them to air.

Is MGM HD also showing the films at some point as well? It would be cool to see them in HD.

Well, before Blu ray anyway.

No. USA network just won the rights to CR not the other Bond films and I wouldn't want them to have them since they never have movie marathons for now Spike has them. Also I want to congradulate Spike at doing the absolute worst job with this year's Breakfest with Bond because this week OHMSS was supposed be on the only time during the marathon but they apparently stopped the maration, even though it was on the highlights schedule, and decided to have a CSI marathon the whole week so no OHMSS, about the worst thing I have ever seen Spike do to a Bond marathon.
