he seems to come a cross as a really nice guy in all the interviews i have seen of him and he admits his mistakes how many actors do that

Thanks for that.

Loved Lazenby's Shirt in that clip.

In it he at least comments on Connery, Saying it was his gig, and basically passing him a complement(backhanded  ).

He admits he was overconfident. Which is big of him.

Nice little video. Good find. Certainly seems like a humble and good-natured type in the video. Had no idea about his pot-smoking bender and near-death experience!

Thanks for posting this. A pleasant antidote to the recent sliming on another thread wherein Laz was pegged a near-pathological liar. If his memory's tripped him up here and there (Hell, Hilary C thought she was under fire in Bosnia and Big Tam probably remembers Diane Cilento as begging to be slugged), still--by almost all reports I've read and heard: Laz is an honorable guy who gave us one great performance...messed up...and made peace with his past.

Thank you MHarkin007! That was both endearing and illuminating. I hope I have even half hat man's grace in admitting mistakes (probably not yet; but with such a great example, it's a goal I'll work towards).

Ouch! that shirt!

I met Lazenby in 1994 and while he certainly admitted his mistakes, he seemed a bit arrogant and closed. It was not until a couple years later his son had died weeks before I met him.

Had no idea about his pot-smoking bender and near-death experience!

I hadn't heard that either. Interesting.

Just as strange is remembering back when Entertainment Tonight did actual features such as this on actual celebrities rather than politicians and people who belond in tabloids.

Slightly off topic, but what has happened to http://www.ohmss-007...hmss/ohmss.html ?

This magnificent website looks to be no more. It is a crying shame if it's the case. At least I saved the large OHMSS montage poster.

Yes, I was quite upset when you told me this on MSN Sharpshooter, I never got a chance to have a proper look at this site, but judging by how much it is mentioned throughout the Bond commumity, I think I've missed out on a big thing.

Wow. Interesting find. It's nice to see what a humble guy he is. I think his attitude when he was doing OHMSS would have happened to anyone who suddenly was thrust into the spotlight after being so unknown.

Isn't he married to that tennis player Pam Shriver now?

Also, I think he was very underrated as Bond. Even Timothy Dalton said he had an impossible task of following Sean Connery.

Thx for finding this, I really enjoyed this interview. I didn't know about the NDE either. Interesting. Does the info Laz gives us here contradict any mythology surrounding the making of the bond series? It seems that more than once on CBn we have tried to dispell the idea he was offered a 7 pic deal. Here Laz is talking about turning it down.

Thanks for the link on the interview, it was very interesting to watch.

Sometimes I wonder how it would have been, if Mr Lazenby did two or three more Bond movies.
