In this article, an Israeli Olympic shooter discusses his training and mentions at the end that of the Bonds, only Lazenby held a rifle correctly.

Of course Lazenby is the only one who did it right.

Nothing to do with Zencat.

What is this, your annual post, my dear chum? If so, it's a great one (though the question remains, where you are nowadays).
What else have you been keeping from us about Gorgeous George?

Guess you just overlook the part where he calls George a 'terrible Bond' then?...
Yep. Laz criticism is ignored. Laz praise is celebrated.

I won't digress, but marksmanship and target shooting is a rarely accepted art. I'm not talking military/law enforcement/self-defence, target shooting is a skill.
Having looked down the barrel and "punched paper" for just under 30 years myself and also, due to certain employment and duties I've undertaken, to carry a firearm as part of those, the finest time for me has always been doing so simply for pleasure and keeping my skill honed.
As Bond goes, I feel all six of the boys have done well in their handling of firearms, but this particular praise for George is nice to read of.

Two... how often have we even seen rifles used by Bond(s) to compare? It seems when he has one, it's some strange exotic model. Kind of hard to judge.

One, Lazenby was previous military and would have had proper firearms training, yes?

Haven't seen the film in a while but I recall George using a rifle scope, pistols and a Stirling SMG (and maybe even a shotgun?), but I don't recall a rifle - can someone remind me?

Disclaimer: my rifle experience significantly lags behind my experience with pistols and shotguns, so it's certainly possible I'm missing something

Laz love is the best love. (Er, that sounds sort of funky...sorry)

Yeah; I'm having trouble with this too. Perhaps the guy is talking about the SMG (that's the sub-machine gun, yeah?); although he then has a go at people shooting Uzis from the hip, and George shoots this gun from the hip, doesn't he?

Correct on SMG, as regards his shooting stance, I think he does hold it a little higher too, as well as sliding on the ice on his belly.

Well he was a commando...I should hope he'd know how to use a gun correctly.
He wasn't a commando or in the special forces. Someone has embellished his resume on wikipedia & IMDB post Bond.
He was in the regular Australian army, so I assume he had plenty of weapons training and use.

Picking nits here, but this fellow doesn’t say Laz is the only Bond who has done it right, he says Laz is the only one he has seen do it right. Perhaps he missed all of Rog’s wonderful blink-and-fire techniques.

Well there you go then, still not surprising.
I thought I saw his commando background on a documentary, I haven't been on his IMDb page, so it's elsewhere also.
All the actors get trained to use the weapons by ex-military expert armourers. So it's a bit odd if none of them have held a gun properly other than lazenby. He says rifle anyway so that kind of excretes all over his own article and bull

"He was a terrible Bond, but at least he knew how to hold a rifle." Lazenby never held or fired a rifle in OHMSS.
"No one can hold two Uzis, shooting from the hip, and hit anything intentionally. That's just ridiculous." No Bond has ever done this.
This guy clearly knows nothing about Bond films and is just talking about general hollywood rubbish through his hat. I have been tought to fire weapons myself and see little wrong with any of the Bonds way of holding any guns.
