Posted link earlier in 'filming in Siena' thread.
(I have been told excessive threads on one subject are 'frowned upon' here).

Good pics. Although the mail still seems like it wants to insinuate that Craig is some kind of wuss (they point out twice that he's wearing knee pads).

Also this bizarre quote from that Mayor gatecrasher :

"Lopez told reporters: "When I drove onto the set, Daniel Craig was filming. I put my vehicle between the camera and the actor, who has nothing in common with the secret agent 007, as he fled in terror."

Because as we all know, the real James Bond just stands there when a speeding car driven by a madman comes right at him?

I actually sent this in this about 5 hours ago but it was never posted for some reason.

Anyway, at least we have the pics nevertheless...thats the most important thing.

no the real james bond would beat up whoever though daniel craig wasn't a good acotr or a good bond

well the pics are stunning and it looks like we have another physical chase (which I like and I'd like to see 007 have more physical chases in the future)

I think Danny Craig would have beaten Sean Connery in his prime...he is more muscular, and his lower center of gravity would help him beat the taller man

I'm amazed that Craig is doing these stunts. This is much more than I thought stars were even allowed to do.

Indeed. Reminds me of the old "Harrison-dragging-behind-a-moving-truck" days.

in person he looks just like he does in the movies....not like some actors, which look completely different in person....this guy is big yet athletic, he looks like he can beat you up, then run you off....plus he is a real trooper, no diva here...on the set, no jokes, all work...you could even see olga (she speaks french) laughing it up with Matt, but Danny Craig is all work, then goes back to monitor to see how he did and how he can do better....basically he is the ultimate actor....really

Brilliant pics.... I salute Daniel Craig. He is a brilliant Bond and he's doing his own stunts, he wants to be part of the process. The one sign of a good and dedicated actor.

if DC somehow stumbles across this page in between jumping on buses etc then i would like to say on behalf of im sure all CBn members -thank you for reflecting the passion we have in James Bond films in your portrayal of him. Your obvious hard work, drive and determination are much appreciated. from the pics an everything else we've learnt about DC from CR to now QoS it is obvious the guy is truly the ultimte actor

There's also another video of the tunnels by the lake as we will see in the PTS, it's similar to the other one but it gives us a better sense of how tight these roads really are.

Great stuff.

Wuss my BUTT! Hey, even stuntmen - you know, the guys that do reckless and dangerous stuff for a living - wear pads, harnesses and such.

Way to go Dan.

I think all the Bond's earned their title over the years and we've all heard the tales.

Sean actually ducking passes from a helicopter in FRWL.

George selling every punch and skiing in OHMSS.

Roger hanging off cliffs in FYEO.

Tim clinging onto the top of the Rover in TLD's PTS.

Pierce taking his licks in GE opposite 006.

Now Dan being the MAN.

All good.

If you're going to be Bond, you better go for it.

Doesn't mean you have to be fool hardy about it though.

What an unrelaxing drive that would be - but beautiful! Really looking forward to a chase filmed in that environment.

Hmm - is Dan deliberately landing badly on his left leg? Perhaps a potential injury.

Or maybe he's just sitting listening to directions from the crew.

I was thinking the same...that they'd digitally replace the running boots with dress shoes.

They will probably pick a camera angle were you cant see his boots just as he lands on the bus.

Yup - mine was more of a silly observation figuring camera angles would hide any sartorial mishaps.
