MI6 HQ

That would be awesome, and it wouldn't be denying the existence of the Vauxhall building, as who is to say that is actually where the chief and high ranking sections have their offices?
There may be a possibility too that they have moved certain offices underground also? It would be a bit strange to suddenly change the offices so radically without explanation. Different if they started it with Casino Royale, but M's office in that was the old model.

Office buildings go through interior decorating changes every once in awhile to keep up the with the times. I see no reason why new interior decorating would hint at a change of location. The new series is all about being realistic so I think they're going to keep M's office in MI6 HQ.
The new set isn't just a tarted up version, it's completely different architecture. They would have had to strip the walls and everything in the building and re-build the offices and staircases from scratch. Bit unlikely.

Where are you getting this information from? All Wilson said was that M has a new glass wall thing and in one the videos, there's a staircase and a receptionist. How does that translate into new architecture, etc.? Am I missing something?
Yes you are, you can see M's office with Dench behind her desk and Tanner standing in the official video on the website. It's very brief but pause after you see Leiter and his collegue by the plane. The office is different architecturally as well as decoratively. This can also be seen, I believe, where Forster is talking - he is sitting in that set.

there's a staircase and a receptionist.
Is that even in MI6 HQ? That hasn't been confirmed. Has it?

That would be a very positive change. I doubt it'll happen, though. With the radicaly different new MI6 HQ interior sets including, who thinks they may have moved the HQ from the Vauxhall building...possibly to a seemingy ordinary looking building near Regent's park??

Now, has Bond been invited or, yet again, found where her true residence is?
The Vauxall building will continue to remain MI6 HQ and M keeps a place in the city, but she certainly has a more civilian locale. Much like M in the novels (and briefly shown in OHMSS) had Quarterdeck.
That's my take anyway.

I believe the scene which we've had a glimpse of is actually at M's house.
She keeps a receptionist in her house?

M had the Hammond's in the novels. Also, in the scene, if I'm not mistaken, (bloody likely) that's Tanner standing beside her.
Make of it what you - and everybody here - will.

My initial thought was also that this was M's home again, but the behind-the-scenes videos appear to show that this is the honeymoon suite of the Bolivia hotel.I think everyone else is talking about a different scene to you. Are you meaning that shot of Bond standing talking to M, who seems to be a step above him with Tanner next to her?

If nothing else, thanks for an excuse to watch the official videos again!

The clip near the end with M behind a desk is probably her office. It's different but that doesn't mean it's not in MI6 HQ anymore. That's a ridiculous assumption.
"A guy I know" once realised that life is in fact no more real than a dream, that nobody exists any less when they die than when they were alive - but freed of the illusion of consciousness. He then started to ponder the possibility of every mind being trapped in it's own individual perception of reality and the brain which created it, so it may continue forever in an endless time-loop even until long after the death of the universe. That when the universe dies it will eventually start all over again from absolute nothingness as it did in the beginning as we study it and that another possibility of many different lives would never end in this cycle; continuing through infinite new universes. Eventually he came to the resting conclusion that there is no answer and that everything is one big complete and unfathomable mass of randomness and matter and there's no point to anything...but might as well enjoy yourself and make it comfortable for others where you can. If there is actually a god masterminding this whole thing, that's what they would want anyway.
I do suppose it was a ridiculous assumption that maybe M's office has moved from the Vauxhall building.
PS, to those looking at the wrong clip the one I mentioned is on the official video immediately after you see Felix Leiter by the private jet. M is behind her desk in her office (not at home) and Bill Tanner is standing in the room. I think that we can see the office where Forster is talking also, as there is the large glass all he spoke of.

No offense but I'm just going to have to disagree with you on this one.The clip near the end with M behind a desk is probably her office. It's different but that doesn't mean it's not in MI6 HQ anymore. That's a ridiculous assumption.

Bond fans love looking into things too deeply when there's a simple explanation. they did.
That's a given of fandom.
