I'm wondering if that US paperback will be the final cover. With both the DAD and CR "Bond on Set" books, Amazon showed only prototype covers. Doesn't make a lot of sense that they'd use an image from CR, nor not use a photograph for a book of photography. It wouldn't surprise me if the UK cover is also the US cover.

As I suspected. Amazon has now changed the US art to the same art on the UK edition.

Good news then! The UK cover was/is far superior.

It's out today in Britain. Where has anyone found it cheap? (!). I always buy these books then see them reduced everywhere a week later.

Well, as with the previous 2, this Bond On Set book doesnt have indepth dexcritpions of the photos, so they only end up being mild spoilers despite showing you key elements from every section of the film. If you heard the rumors you can guess where each photo falls in the films narrative, but otherwise they are just somenice photos

Amazing book! Forster is such a legend! I also didn't know that Felix attended Greene's fundraiser.

I wasn't aware either...in fact, I never saw him there....I guess this is one of those reshoots they did back at Pinewood, they rebuilt the Old Union Club...man that's gonna be crazy, with all of those reshoots....

Director Marc Forster: ‘The locations are like characters themselves. As soon as I saw the Old Union Club I fell in love with it. It took months to clear the area of rubble before installing an illuminated bar, drapes and lights for the party scene. Then they had to recreate the whole thing in the UK at Pinewood for reshoots.

You mean Roberto Duran

http://www.mightyglo.../duran72307.jpg

Also on the set there were famous musicians from Panama visiting, Ruben Blades and Osvaldo Ayala and hired as extras there were stage actors, celebrities, and TV personalities from the local media, like Ana Raquel Chanis, Rossana Uribe, Atenogenes Rodriguez, Brianna Meighan, Aldo Scagnatto, models from Physsical, Panama's top model agency, etc. etc. etc.

Can I see the pic you saw?

I was in Hastings today and happened to go to the books about film section, just in the off chance that Bond On Set would be out early.

And it was!

They had one copy and it was the hardback version (which I thought was only going on sale in the UK...). It retailed for $20. Of course I bought it!

It's a great book--very similar to the other Bond On Sets. Pictures are really nice. I tried not to look carefully cos I still want some kind of surprise when I see the movie. Don't read the captions if you don't want to be spoiled, they give some things away. Awesome book.

They also had 3 copies of the new versions of 'The Secret World of Bond' with Craig QOS era. I think it was $24.95, but I didn't buy it.

Not to mention they had the Men's Vogue with Danny on the cover.

A good Bond day for sure!

Oh yeah, and for those wanting to know, there's no picture of Craig in the gun barrel. Sorry. But the rest of it is awesome.

I was really surprised to find the hardback version of it. To my understanding, the US was only getting the paperback version.

Oh well, I just couldn't believe I found it early!

Yeah, I'm in Montreal and I bought mine last week already! It also has a hard back cover and features that black and white photo of Craig with his hands in his pockets. The photos are lovely, but the text is very sparse. Director Marc Forster provides some insight into what the planning of certain scenes was, but is isn't a 'making of' by any definition.

Still, for a hard cover book with glossy pages about Bond, it was only 22$, so I picked it up.
