It's "a la" too many Bond films to count. I can't remember when it started, maybe Roger. Bond always has a habit of "tossing" his keys. Daniel did it once in Casino Royale, noticeable enough that it prompted a chuckle out of me.

I always associate the casual flicking of various objects with Connery's handling of the hotel phone in From Russia With Love (was it frwl?).

No it isn't. Well, not around here anyway

I think it's one of the things that makes Bond who he is on screen. And the type of thing that Connery in particular did really well. And I love it. Really need to do it when next I order room service (although these days one has to push a button normally).

You know, if we were clever (and we are), we should zoom in and try and enhance those storyboards behind Forster. There might be gold there.

I bet for location pics, but I doubt they're randomly placed. They're probably ordered by the narrative/plot, or shooting schedule.
