Not sure of all the details, but when the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Urwin appeared on an Australian talk show 'The Panel' they breifly discussed some of his lawsuits he has at the moment.
According to Mr Urwin, the 'trademark lawyers' are angry and suing Urwin over his trailer for the Crodile Hunter movie. The trailer is quite funny, with Urwin trying to tame the mgm lion, and even replacing it with a crocodile. Apparently it breached somthing though, and nows he's getting in trouble for it.
Jeez, and i thought MGM couldnt sink any lower. They really have no idea about anything anymore.

Yeah, I've known about this for a while. He was on Conan a while back, and he was talking about it. He seems in good spirit about it though. I dont think that man ever gets mad.

its just so ridiculous though, i couldnt get over it. that trailer was probably better than the whole movie. someone at mgm needs a good slap in the face

It's just sad. MGM should really get out of the business. They're just making Hollywood look bad (and that's saying something!).

Um, wasn't that an MGM film? Didn't they make and run the trailer? If MGM didn't like it in the first place they didn't have to film it, pay for it, and air it. Are you sure this wasn't a joke?

I believe Steve Erwin altered the MGM logo himself. At least thats what it sounded like to me.

Well he could alter it himself if he was in charge of the film, but he still couldn't make MGM distribute the trailer, and they were the distributor, they paid to make the prints for theaters, they paid to air it on TV etc.

Words cannot describe how pathetic and sadistic MGM are behaving. They must be wrong in the 'ead, what will they do next? -add witty comment, can't think of one:o- The Bond franchise realy needs to change, go to another film company, coz MGM are really bringing it down:mad:.

Er considering that according to this interview with Irwin, dated today MGM is consdering another film with him, I'd pretty much say it's a JOKE.

I once heard that in the early 1960s, Jackie Gleason thought about suing Hannah-Barbera for basing The Flintstones on The Honeymooners; but a friend stepped in and said, "Jackie, do you want every kid in America to know you as the guy who took Fred Flintstone off the air?" Gleason, as a result, never even complained. It would be nice to see decency like that coming from Hollywood again.

it wasnt a joke, that part of the interview was completely serious for once with irwin. they had just been discussing a lawsuit about a writer who was injured by a crocodile with the movie, and then they started talkin about this lawsuit, its real.
