Interesting that most of the dates are very close to each other. Usually some countries dates go in to the following year.
That's been traditionally the case with Japan for example. Given, however, piracy issues it's prudent to cash in sooner than later.

Yes, it could be worse I guess. At least we got to see Casino Royale in 2006. Some people only got it in Jan 07!

Noticed that as well. Still, with the Japan and China dates yet to be announced (assuming Quantum of Solace will play in theatres in the latter), I'd say the possibility of a very few 2009 release dates for the film is there.

Those 3 weeks are the worst of part of the 8 month wait we have. Knowing that people are watching Quantum of Solace while we wait for it to arrive is tough.

I don't understand why it can be shown in Hong Kong and Malaysia on 7th November, yet in Australia we need to wait another 3 weeks. Does anyone know?
Because Americans love Australians for giving us Gorgeous George. And, as a special form of thanks, we've used our pull to delay the release so that you can read our reviews.

Maybe the captain chappie of the tug is suffering from bad eyesight and the studio said "no" in providing him with adequate visual aid.I don't understand why it can be shown in Hong Kong and Malaysia on 7th November, yet in Australia we need to wait another 3 weeks. Does anyone know?
I agree. It's ridiculous.

They will all be discussing their favourite lines in the movie, while we'll still be waiting to see it for the first time...

Yep, same as me. When Casino Royale premiered, I stopped coming on here until after I'd seen the movie on December 7th. It's a bit frustrating because all the good topics have been well discussed by then and no-one cares that much about those of us who are still buzzing from our first viewing.

Those sexy blond haired and blue eyed swedes get it days before us blonde haired blue eyed finns. Another reason to be jealous of our neighbor. The other thing is that nothing from 'my country' has been presented in Bond films.
(I don't count those computer screen or whatever, that were done for DAD, but never actually got to be seen in the movie) Day-um!
