Considering the fact that all 100 tickets sold out, I doubt you'll be the only paying customer, Martijn.Anyone else going?? Or am I the only paying guest?
Charles is probably going.
I would go but, as mentioned above, I want to see both those FLeming exhibits and neither of them are open at the same time this event occurs. Sorry I'll miss you there.

If some old Bond actors move here, then it's possible. Otherwise, I think we'll only get our Bond fix here when they make one of the movies here.

I see that, once again, there were some guests attending that were not originally listed. Nice surprise for those that attended.

Kinda sad that AJB beat us to a report.

It was not an own report that they have posted on there site.

As LadyTemplar explained, it was a wonderful day, as usual.
Lots of familiar faces gathered before the doors opened and when we were let in, we enjoyed some coffee and tea while talking with most guests who were already signing.
Rather unusually, coffee and tea went on till lunch, which happened to be a wonderful banquet, served in the same room where the guests were still chatting and signing.
When finally the weather turned very bad, the ever chearful Dave Worrall took this opportunity to take the whole group out to do the Goldfinger Walk. We should have worn wetsuits, but I had forgotten to bring mine. Even umbrella's couldn't save this tour, which brought us all around Pinewood to see every corner used by Guy Hamilton for the filming of various scenes for Goldfinger. There were even some Bond sets and we were kindly asked not to photograph anything.
The group hurried through Pinewood to seek shelter from the pouring rain at the Covered Way, the area used in the Aston Martin chase scene. And there she was.. just around the corner, the beautiful DB5, one of the two show cars originally purchased by EON for publicity purposes. Stuffed with the so familiar gadgets, this show car was brought to Pinewood by the guys from James Bond Nederland from his home in the Car Museum in Raamsdonksveer. Even today, a week later, I still can't believe these guys talked the owners into not only lending this car out for this event but paying for all expenses as well.. Well done James Bond Nederland!

Highlight of this tour, in my opinion, was the moment Guy Hamilton joined the crowd and started sharing all his memories of the Aston Martin. He kindly answered all questions and was in great shape.
Still soaking wet, we then made our way to the fabulous Theatre 7, where we treated on a fantastic digital print of Goldfinger -the movie. The film was introduced by Honor Blackman, who came to the event as a surprise guest. She got a standing ovation.
When the end titles faded, Lee Pfeiffer of Cinema Retro stepped onto the stage and interviewed many of the guests, including golden girl Shirley Eaton, Tania Mallet, Burt Kwouk, Margaret Nolan and of course Guy Hamilton, who also received The Cinema Retro Lifetime Achievement Award from the hands of Honor Blackman.
The day ended the way it had started, with refreshments and more signing, while we all received a Corgi DB5 model to take home.

A big thanks for the report.

Can you tell us anything about the sets that you saw but were asked not to photograph?
