Nothing too interesting, but I thought I'd point it out. Apparently in one of the current tv spots you can see a quick glimpse of them spoofing the CR torture scene. They have a guy sitting down in a chair and he's getting hit with a item just like in the movie.

Kind of neat, movie will probably suck though.

I have to agree; Epic Movie had a Bond spoof, as well, and it sucked hard.

So what is the actual "joke" then?

Anyhoo, I guess its a testament to CR's popularity that not one but two movies are spoofing/referencing it (the other being that Adam Sandler movie this summer).

That movie is going to bomb hard, I predict. How could anyone read the script and think "this sounds like a good idea"? Just watching the commercial is painfully bad.

I take it you havent seen a modern "spoof" movie then? Their idea of funny is recreating the scene, and then adding one or two jokes to it. That's about it.

We'll see. I believe you should have to surrender your right to vote in order to get into this movie.

If it is a hit, it will only reinforce my film noir influenced pessimissim about most people.

Well, Meet the Spartans won the weekend. I'm deeply dissapointed in mankind, and especially my generation, as they were the only one's who went to see it.

I heard this movie was number one over the weekend on the radio this morning & thought I just heard the announcer wrong. Thankfully, I later found out that my hearing is fine. What I thought was more impressive was the drop Cloverfield took to # 4. While I was not a fan of that movie, I figured it & Rambo would be fighting for the # 1 & 2 spots. Go figure.
