I recently bought this UE DVD and noticed Lazenby was credited like every other Bonds. Sorry, but this is the best resolution I found of the South American UE DVDs

Interesting... both my SE and UE DVD have the credit listed as:

"Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli present James Bond 007 in Ian Fleming's..."

Credits are contractual so my guess is that if you bought a copy of OHMSS that credited Lazenby above the title, then it is an error on the part of the distributor/printer/proof reader. Having said that, the UK is also apt to make mistakes as my UE DVD of Die Another Day states:

Harry Saltzman and Albert R Broccoli present Pierce Brosnan as James Bond 007 in Ian Fleming's Die Another Day. (Strange I do not recall reading THAT novel.) I have noticed that this has been altered on later issues of the DVD.

I agree that Lazenby should be credited the same as the other Bonds, but cannot be unless his contract is re-negotiated.

Saying that, my UE Cover of Die Another Day says 'Albert R Broccolis eon productions present Pierce Brosnan as James Bond 007 in Ian Flemings Die Another Day' and my Licence to Kill VHS says 'Albert R Broccoli present sTimothy Dalton as James Bond 007 in Ian Flemings Licence to Kill', which is wiered as they are both original stories. :D

I heartily agree with you, sir... :P

Then again, wouldn't A View to a Kill also be counted as an original story? :D

Spy and every movie starting with FYEO have only credited Fleming as creating Bond ("Ian Fleming's James Bond 007")

Is Fleming contractually obligated to receive above title billing so to speak or is that just Cubby being nice?

Oh and DN, FRWL and OHMSS are the only movies in which the lead receives below title billing. In LALD, TMWTGG and MR Moore is billed in the opening credits as playing James Bond 007.

Well Cubby did state that he never wanted to make an James Bond movie without Flemings name on it. So I would say the desicion was indeed Cubbys. :D

As for these errors I guess they felt it would easier to have one template and didn't bother to look at the actual credits.
