In a little known piece of movie industry fact, when Tom Selleck was cast as Indiana Jones, little known Irish actor, Pierce Brosnan was set to take the role of Magnum PI.

And, in an ironic twist of fate, Pierce Brosnan is now set to take on the role of Magnum P.I. in a new big screen adaptation of the hit series.
In a little known piece of movie industry fact, when Tom Selleck was cast as Indiana Jones, little known Irish actor, Pierce Brosnan was set to take the role of Magnum PI.
When asked about it recently, Brosnan told us: "I never imagined this iconic role, Thomas Magnum, would come my way again. It came briefly into my life many, many years ago, and then it was gone. So, to be playing it now, feels like a wonderful turn of events. Growing up as a young lad in the bogs of Ireland, etc, etc, etc..."
