I really don't know how to react to the poem.

Indeed.

The poem does nothing for me, its very twisted and bitter, maybe that's how Villechaize was in the end, only one person knows that answer.

That's putting it mildly...

Well. I'm 6'4'', and I'm nuts over him.

An interesting character, not sure about his role as a henchman though...

*DE PLANE*
Herve...why?
Why, oh why...did you die?
Why did you die?
Herve! You!
You stupid midget, you!
...Stupid midget, you!
...Stupid midget, you!
Herve Villechaize
Herve Villechaize
Herve Villechaize
Herve Villechaize...
Ricardo! Ricardo!
Ricardo! Ricardo Montalban!
Ricardo Montalban!
Ricardo, why?
Why, oh why...why did you let him die?
Why did you let him die?
Boss, Hey Boss!
Boss...where is the plane?
Am I really insane?
Now I don't feel any pain.
'Cause I'm resting in my grave.
And the worms are eating my brain.
Isn't that a shame?
'Cause there is no more plane.
Sidesplitting. Quite, quite brilliant.

I want to hear that poem performed musically in the style of Laurie Anderson.
I think it is accompanied by music on the website.

I think that goes without saying. And plankattack, I also find the poem unintentionally hilarious... especially the worms are eating my brain bit.

I liked him as Nick Nack, apart from that I don't know very much about him. That is a very peculiar poem.
It seems there is a new biopic about Nick Nack out soon.

Oh, monsieur
I fooled you
I may be small
But I never forget
It's locked
I can't breathe
Let me out of here
You big bully
Through that door
So near and yet so far
I don't expect wounds
Only a clean kill
This is a duel a la mort
I wonder what it can be
I will now begin the count

Nick Nack was about as intimidating as a grocery list.

Nick Nack is not intimidating, I don't think he's meant to be. He puts in a fine performance and easily holds his own against both Moore and Lee. He's never threatening to Bond (although I'm scared by the flying wine bottles - they are all magically empty! What beastly trick is this?), but poses an interesting dilemma - ultimately solved by a suitcase.
Certainly a unique Bond character, who doesn't overstep the mark (unlike certain stainless steel teeth).

Yes it is an interesting relationship he has with his boss, Scaramanga.

The original name for the Nick Nack character was Demitasse (French for "half cup") in any early script, which as a result of Herve taking the role would have been quite apt considering he was French. No?

I liked him as Nick Nack. I think he was a good henchman. Not among the best but very solid and enjoyable.
