Kevin Costner's Academy Award winning classic "Dances with wolves" gets a sequel. Michael Blake, author of the original book has written a script to his second John Dunbar book "The dance of the warrior" (German translation of the title), which described the following story of the hero and his wife "Stands with a fist". The title for the sequel "The holy road" stands for the preparing work of the transcontinentel railway. (The idea sounds a bit like "Once upon a time in the west").

The hunt for locomotives is on.

I adore this novel and the movie.

I always thought, crass as it may seem, that the John Dunbar story had room to go.
Let's hope Blake does justice to the earlier work.

Wow... Any idea if Kevin Costner will reprise the role?

I'm just hoping Mary McDonell (sp?) is willing to reprise her role.

Personally, I think a better title would be Dances With Wolves: Two Tanka, but this is pretty exciting news nonetheless, as long as the required cast remains the same. DWW is one of my top-10 films. Easily. Sometimes Costner is just in the right place at the right time. It all came together for him on that one.
