Didnt see a topic about this, so here it is.
Who is your favourite Miss Moneypenny and why?
- Lois Maxwell
- Pamela Salem
- Caronline Bliss
- Samantha Bond
I pick Caroline. She was bliss in my opinion. She picked up after the hugely successful and long tenture of Maxwell, and managed to create her own dintinct style in her short stint.
She has a taste for Barry Manilow, the first Moneypenny to wear glasses (got to love that) and the youngest actress to play Moneypenny at 26.

Caroline Bliss(It's because of the glasses)

I liked Caroline Bliss (yes, the glasses are a big help), but I think for me Lois Maxwell will always be Moneypenny.

Lois Maxwell is the Moneypenny, although I think Bliss and Samantha both did a decent job of the role in their movies.

Er...what he said. Lois will forever be THE Miss Moneypenny although I am happy to see the underrated Caroline Bliss(the George Lazenby of the Moneypennys) has her fans and defenders.

There is absolutely no competition to Lois Maxwell in my opinion. It's just as Desmond Llewelyn will always be 'Q.'
Caroline Bliss (even though in Licence to Kill it seems they tried to just find a place to shove her in) and Samantha Bond were also decent in the role.

Lois Maxwell was the best Moneypenny. From 1962 to 1985. It's hard to beat.
But the other 2 were good.
Samantha Bond did a good job, and I enjoyed her scenes. She said in an interview that she always saw herself as Pierce's Moneypenny and whenever he stopped playing Bond, she would stop playing Moneypenny.

As with my favourtie Bond, this jumped around again of late. I think Samantha Bond was right up there as Moneypenny.

LOIS MAXWELL, she has quite the personality to be "M's" secretary

Without a doubt, Lois Maxwell. She defined the role for me, and as such will always be the definitive Moneypenny in my mind. In the early Connery films she was young and quite attractive, and she had a good chemistry in her scenes with Sean. Perhaps she stayed a little too long in the role, but it seemed appropriate as long as an aging Roger was there.
