Can any assist?

I remember reading a black covered Unauthorised Biography of James Bond some years ago but I cannot remember the author.

The book was written as a biography and took the line that there was a real Agent James Bond and that he had long since retired in Jamaica and that the author had composed the biography after several meetings with JB.

Does anyone know the book and can tell me the author and where I can purchase another copy.

I guess you are referring to James Bond: An Authorised Biography, originally published in 1972, and written by John Pearson who also wrote The Life Of Ian Fleming six years earlier.

Hope that helps.

Try www.bookfinder.com

The last printing of this book was in 1986 (US and UK)

I still see the book in used book stores, so you might also try one near you--look in the mystery/espionage section, of course. The "bio" is well worth the search--it's a lot of fun for anyone who knows the Fleming novels.

You could try ebay...it is up for sale there, now and again.

You could also send me two letters of reference vouching for your relibility, and I will send you my copy, when I get it back.

;-) Seriously....if you promise to send it back, when I get mine back, I will loan it to you.
