We've had ski sequences, how about underwater ones. There are quite a few in Bond movies-You Only Live Twice,The Spy Who Loved Me,For Your Eyes Only,A View To a Kill,Licence To Kill,Tomorrow Never Dies,Never Say Never Again and obviously most of Thunderball [have I missed any?].

I would go for the underwater battle in Thunderball-I don't find it overlong at all,I think it's an awesome sequence, loads of people fighting,Bond dispatching opponent after opponent, fantastic scoring [esp, when '007' comes in!],just great. Runner up would probably be The Spy Who Loved Me just for that terrific car,and I do like the shark attack in Never Say Never Again.

Weakest would be the first Thunderball sequence involving the plane-a bit dull and far too long despite the great scoring, and Tomorrow Never Dies-just forgettable.

Thunderball as a movie rates right up there and has been an inspiration for visits to The Bahamas for water sports, gambling and sight-seeing such as 'Palmyra' and Bay Street, Government House (Quantum Of Solace) and The One & Only Ocean Club (Casino Royale).

Thunderball is Connery's most assured Bond (his 'best' being in FRWL i.m.o.) and the first of the mega epics.

"Water" movies from the likes of Hollywood are generally extremely costly if you want to do it for real with history being littered with budget over-runs (Waterworld, Titanic) so trying to do an epic Bond would be 1) costly and 2) always compared to Thunderball (arguably the most successful James Bond movie ever).

Something along the lines of LTK's or even AVTAK's underwater sequences would be in keeping with CraigBond's lower key era (thus far) whereas the likes of TSWLM would be a bit over the top for his tenure.

In the end, underwater work in Craig's era would be welcomed...indeed I would regard it as 'essential'.
