The last time I sat down and thought about it this is what I came up with, but a few interchange occasionally. This one is also sure to offend Bondpurist, but I do love the film...it's just that my love for the others exceeds it.

I find peoples rankings really interesting. Like how my 1st and 2nd choices are M_Baljes 18th and 19th, and how my 19th is 14 20 02's 1st.

And how Licence to Kill is always near the bottom. :)

I prefer ranking them other ways, but I've ranked all 19, and I'll do it again. Just for reference, its no coincidence that all three Brosnan's films are near the top, he *IS* my favorite Bond after all :)

1. Die Another Day (just kidding, but I hope!!)

1. OHMSS
2. TWINE
3. FRWL
4. TB
5. FYEO
6. TSWLM
7. LTK
8. TND
9. GF
10. MR
11. AVTAK
12. GE
13. LD
14. DN
15. OP
16. YOLT
17. TMWTGG
18. LALD
19. DAF
----------------------------------

Incidentally, my joke rating of DAD as number 1 is how I am hoping it will be. Judging from the prehype and all the cool homages and reading about the 10 minutes of footage screened. I think this isnt far off.

GE, TWINE, and DAD are the big three that will be IMPOSSIBLE to top. DAD will probably ring in at two.

1. The World is Not Enough (9.75 / 10)
The Definitive Bond in the definitive Bond movie. All the elements fit together perfectly.

2. GoldenEye (9.5 / 10)
Bond is back to the quality of his heyday. Great performance by Brosnan and a brilliant supporting cast, combined with outstanding effects.

3. From Russia With Love (9.2 / 10)
Superbly acted and very tense. Closely follows Fleming

Well, I cannot rank them like the rest of you. I will say I have enjoyed most of them to varying degrees. I hate the Dalton movies, thank God he only did 2. I like OHMSS a lot. I don't really care much for Moonraker, TMWTGG, Live and Let Die, or A View To A Kill. Other than that, I like all of the rest of them.

well have you noticed certain things about all of our lists. While no one person can say what everyone considers to be the best Bond film, there are ones that are 9/10 times universally high. Movies like Goldfinger, FRWL, OHMSS, TSLWM, FYEO, GE, and TWINE. More often than not on these lists these are usually the onces that come out on top. So could we collectivlely say that one of these Bonds is the best Bond film of all?

My oh my, this is not easy- nor will it be accurate. It depends on my mood.

This isn't from a critical standpoint, just how I enjoy them.

1) From Russia With Love
2) Thunderball
3) Dr. No
4) On Her Majesty's Secret Service
5) Goldfinger
6) For Your Eyes Only
7) The Spy Who Loved Me
8) Octopussy
9) GoldenEye
10) Licence To Kill
11) Diamonds Are Forever
12) Live and Let Die
13)
14)
15)
16)
17) Moonraker
18) The Man With The Golden Gun
19) A View To A Kill

This is going nowhere. My top and bottom ones stay the same, but the rest fluxuate.

2 people had OHMSS last, and another one had it 16th, so perhaps that one shouldn't be included, but I can definatlty see what you are saying.

It's too bad that the ages of the people posting were not part of the equation. By the way I have hard time believing that MWTGG is not the worst film of the bunch, not to mention a terrible film by any standard. Just to be fair I read the Dr. No comic when it first came out and then saw the film.

well age does have an effect, how ever different styles are just going to be more appealing to different people. But I think it has to do wtih the Bond you saw first or the Bond you grew up with. Which in some cases (mine with Brosnan) be one in the same. While many of us do try to be odjective with our lists, one cannot help to favor their fav 007 actors films over others. Heck, look at my top three. :)

I feel kind of stupid ranking them, because like most other posters in this forum, I like different elements about each one. For example, while TMWTGG is tainted by that AWFUL kazoo, the return of JW Pepper, and Mary Goodnight's forced presence (or lack of importance), it also contains a Bond-definable villain in Scaramanga (inviting Bond to dine with him, etc), interesting girl (Andrea Anders), and different approach to action (Karate).

TSWLM ranks #1 for the following reasons:
Moore (at his best)
Anya Amasova
Liparus & Atlantis
Scenes in Egypt
Heimlich's music; Simon's song; Binder's titles
Jaws

And I'm done
