Later, we'll be able to see if the country with the most votes was picked for the film.

I'm mostly going on gut instinct here, but I think the prominence of Brazil in Moonraker will rule it out, while the use of a tropical environment in CR (and other Bond movies) will rule out places like Colombia. Nothing like Argentina has been used so far, however, and it's diverse enough to allow everything from mountains to wide-open plains to feature prominently.

As for the location I'd want? Brazil or Argentina.

It has a lot more to offer than the obvious "postcard view" featured in MR.

How about Machu Picchu in Peru?
That's what i said in the other thread before seeing this one! You're spot on mate!
Or Gyana for Angel Falls (or maybe Iguazu in Brazil) if they want waterfall action.

Iguazu was already in Moonraker (Moore flew over it in a hangglider).

I seem to remember an early rumour for BOND 21 (long before we knew it as CASINO ROYALE) that had Chile as one of the locations. Wonder if there was any truth to that, and if so whether it might be one of Eon's Unused Ideas finally seeing the light of day.

Ecuador would actually be a very easy place to film in. Remember that Meg Ryan/Russell Crowe film Proof of Life? Dreadful film but amazing locations, shot in Ecuador (standing in for yet another fictional SA country) and found by my boss there. It's pretty stable as far as SA countries go and absolutely spectacular. My pick would be Ecuador, although I'm sure that they'd use a stand-in country (then again, Forster has just filmed THE KITE RUNNER in Xinjiang, of all places [doubling for Afghanistan], so he may be an adventurous chap when it comes to locations and therefore well up for shooting in, for instance, Ecuador rather than, in good old recent Bond movie style, doubling, say, Florida - or, heaven help us, somewhere in Berkshire - for Ecuador).

Looking back at an old Bond 21 thread, it seems alot of Bond fans wanted Argentina and a few other South American locations. Chile got a mention as well.

I voted for Brazil. Even though it appeared in Moonraker it just strikes me as a very Bondian location
I voted for Brazil too.
But I wonder if the actual location will be doubling for somewhere else?

Miraculously Bolivia has gained two votes today... There's nothing quite like hindsight!Nobody voted for Bolivia although Chile has 2 votes.
