In the book The Incredible World of 007, there is a section about the lost/missing/deleted scenes from the James Bond movies. What caught my eye were the ones from the two Timothy Dalton movies. Without any further delay, here are they are:
In an early script version of The Living Daylights, the Aston Martin chase originally was to have Bond and Kara steal a KGB automobile to start their escape and then end with an ice yacht. The Aston Martin and cello came later.
Also in The Living Daylights, Bond originally landed the plane on the deck of an aircraft carrier nearby. It almost skids over the end with the netting catching it just as it goes over. Bond and Kara then climb up from the plane onto the deck.
There's more of these kinds of sequences, but I'm still reading. These are the ones that caught my eye. I thought the Dalton fans would get a kick out of some of these ideas as they detail the evolution of the creative process.
