seriously though, I think you've summed up why they say bond is the "man every man wants to be" as his actions are deliberatly beyond what the average man would be able to expect of himself. I'd like to think i'd have the conviction or integrity to beat le chiffre or to withstand the torture scene, but I'm affrid I'd likely die in the process!

In hindsight? I would have kept driving straight. That kind of a death, though it must present a bitch of a hassle for the funeral home, must be preferrable to drowning. The testes would be spared, and my cost of auto insurance wouldn't go up.

Interesting question here. One of the main areas where I'm not sure I would have made the correct split-second decision would have been chasing Mollaka across the building site - that was certainly something that Bond decided to do and then stuck to his impulse. Not sure I'd have done the same thing!! I agree with the poster who said he should have just stayed on the beach in the Bahamas. I probably would have done the same, out of sheer pride for my new muscly physique!!

I would have been busted down to desk clerk after letting the prototype jetliner get destroyed, since there is NO WAY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH I would have left a randy Solange at home alone to catch a plane to Miami! Not for all the tea in the British Isles!

I'm pretty bad with the ladies, so I would've botched the whole Miami portion simply because Solange wouldn't have felt compelled to get in that car that I didn't just win because I'm also terrible at card games. I'd still be tooling around in the Mondeo.

However, having blown the mission at the airport means Le Chiffre wouldn't have put together the card game, so the whole rest of the movie is pretty moot.

I suspect I'd have been arrested in Miami since I'm pretty sure that I could take Dimitrius in that scuffle; but not with enough discretion that the police wouldn't have been immediately been called.

If I got lucky enough to get to the airport, I'm pretty sure I'd have been pinched within a metre or two of the airport front door.

If I'm lucky, I'd only receive a severe beat down; but I might have been used for target practice by Dade County's finest instead.

At that point, I'm pretty sure that the mission is blown since I'm not making it to the Elipsis door.

Yeah she might wanna do that, and I would know she has a boyfriend because I would also question her about that necklace she wears, right? So, I would help her get away by eliminating anyone who wants to do her and myself harm and it might take a year, but I'm willing to go that distance by even staying away from my own employers for her, but they won't understand. M would be like "the girl's a traitor...I told you not to get your personal feelings involved 007." Bond's a blunt instrument ha--not totally. He really cares about Vesper.

Vesper at this point is scared I might kill her because I'm so furious, but she sticks with me. I later find out her "boyfriend" (in my story) is a mean, ruthless, criminal, and I'm (Bond) someone who loves her and would put my life on the line for her and she knows that. Even though I thought she was a lying bitch I would get over that. In the end I got her out of it and she gets a different alias (Ambrose Blaine), but it didn't work out because she's so insecure and wants to be alone, but we tried for 3 months. I too am a bit insecure, but she lives and I have a job I love a and I don't really have time for her insecurities I have to get back to my job. I'm hurt and I figure it was just my nature to help her and I go on.

Besides, I might have another lady out there waiting on me to rescue her.\
