Shatterhand - Teaser

As we are finishing Shamelady -- sorry for the wait yet to come! -- it's time to announce a new James Bond adventure since it's now on line on the Constellation studios web site.
Shamelady was a joy to do so we'll make a sequel.
The story itself has been my mind since 2005. But its getting made was not that obvious. And some parts of the new script are very faithful to a couple of Fleming storylines.
So here it is, folks.
SHATTERHAND

That's all there is for now. As you can read on the Constellation site we will mainly adapt the last part of the You Only Live Twice novel. The Samurai, Irma Bunt and the Garden of Death will be filmed!
We've already shot a ski sequence during the winter season, with a high speed chase and moving cameras.
And we're about to shoot a big chunk of the new adventure in early July on the French Riviera.
Of course, Shatterhand is a totally not for profit production. It will be out some time in 2008 to celebrate Ian Fleming's hundredth birthday.

And thanks for noticing the "unused Fleming elements".
Shamelady and Shatterhand have two different goals.
Shamelady was about proving we could do something Bond-like, hence the fact that we willfully embraced the clich

There is a lot of work to do on the movie at the same time. I want to edit the more I can so that I know exactly what remains to be shot to fill my editing timeline. There is also a lot of Photoshop work to do and a lot of sound work. I am in the middle of all this.

Shatterhand looks interesting too, though I am not sure the sections you've chosen to adapt are the best bits of Fleming's YOLT, I felt the Blofeld in Samurai armour thing was a bit camp even for Fleming (recalls Dr No's hooks for hands,Klebb resembling a toad and Jack Spang dressed up as a cowboy)
None the less if it is anything as good as your Shamelady I will look forward to it. I have a few ideas for a Shatterhad of my own, but alas you guys are getting there first!
Good luck!!

As for your remark regarding the samurai being a little camp in Shatterhand, you're probably right. We're doing a rather exotic adventure and I hope this camp touch will feel really integral to the storyline. Wait and see.
Here is some recent news : in February I shot a few insert by taking advantage of a new stay in the Alps. Bond's former ski instructor Hannes Oberhauser has been cast and filmed during this time period.
In April I went to Geneva, Switzerland to film the movie's three Bond girls. And believe me we're doing even better in that category this time. Shatterhand will have a nude scene -- a bit more daring than your usual Bond film but nothing offensive. If I did my job well, that moment should be elegant.
At the end of August I will be shooting the savage final fight between Bond and Blofeld. I also have shots of cars driving in the country to produce. And I may add an additional scene to improve the flow of the story.
In the meantime I will be busy on the editing software. The ski chase is a killer to edit and progress is slow on it. The katana fight starts looking good. Real shots of Japan specially made for Shatterhand have already been inserted in the edit and they match wonderfully with the neighbouring shots.
On the music front I have a couple of instrumental tracks locked for the movie and the very talented Rich Douglas may provide the score. Again, wait and see!
The Constellation Studios website will soon be updated with many pictures and screen captures from the movie. I will keep you informed when all this material is online.

Looks like we'll see a ShamelessLady, this time...
There could be a Moore-Bond double-innuendos galore at this point, but I won't go further... No, really!

More seriously, I am proud to give you the link to very first set of pictures from our alpine location.
This was the shooting of our PTS.

During the last week of August, Serge Rotelli, swordmaster Pierre Rodiac and Alex, a hulking friend of ours, joined Olivier Lebaz / Shatterhand and I to shoot the epic final fight between Bond and a henchman first, Bond and Shatterhand second.
This took place at a place named the Chinese Pavillion in the city of L'Isle-Adam, where we shot green screen footage for Shamelady, previously.

This great moment will end up on the Constellation site (which is not properly working for the time being) some time in 2009. Yet a few first pictures can be seen here.

With this big scene in the can very few things remain to be filmed. Shots of cars, supernumeraries, green screen stuff for the credits...
I have just started working on the main credit sequence.
Stay tuned.

I, myself, have been attempting a re-edit of the prior film, Shamelady, which runs a little long and has a top-heavy PTS. I'm done now, but I plan to put it on YouTube, and the dratted uploader won't work.
Since I'm here, however, might I offer my services as an auxiliary editor on Shatterhand? Were it not for the prior musical cues, I could have given most of the fights in Shamelady a cutdown worthy of Peter Hunt.

What happened to this movie? No further news?

Mr. Blofeld, are you a professional editor?

This I hope final cut will be made available soon.
I ran into several problems, the biggest of which was an exploding computer in January, and work will be delayed for three months just as a consequence of this.
Shatterhand is still moving forward. I hired someone to help me do the Main Title Sequence this time. I am gathering an explosion bank that will be used for the climax. Shatterhand will be more of an exterior scene and the colors of the French Riviera look glorious. But the movie is 90% and far from finished because of the long post-production process.
Thank you Mr. Blofeld for your offer regarding editing but I tried this before and it is rather complicated doing this from one country to the other with the proper alone. I'd rather continue on my own to keep things easy. I'll be curious to see how you re-edited Shamelady, especially the PTS.

I used Windows Movie Maker; even though it's limited, I tried to not make any awkward cuts. I put some new music over some of the sequences, but I'm afraid some of the old music might have bled through (I've got a hearing problem, so I can't really tell).
I've also rearranged some of the structure of the film; like QOS, the gunbarrel comes at the end now and leads into the credits, and the first fight comes after the main titles. I've also gotten rid of the gadgets, but I'm afraid I may have adversely affected the car chase as a result.
Still, I'll try to get it up on YouTube as soon as possible.
