While I personally wouldn't want Jackman as Bond, either, I'd have to disagree on the masculinity thing. Haven't you seen him in the "X-Men" films?
Are you asking me or Babs??

Im hoping for Sam Worthington. An aussie who made the final round of casting for Bond 22 but was deemed to young (hes only in his mid 20s I think), but he will be the perfect age next time. Hopefully the Broccolis remember him.

The second point is After Craig leaving Bond it will be very difficult to choose new bond ((Of course, not the difficult when Connery left Bond)) , Selection depends on the quality of the bond charcter and Type of the film if its (IMO)like moore and brosnan film OR The dark side of Bond ??

He's not well known yet, but his acting is great! Rome (TV Series), Hannibal Rising, The Last Legion, 16 Years of Alcohol and so forth....

Hmm Hugh Jackman doesn't seem like Bond material to me, maybe that's why he wasn't chosen. However ever since Daniel Craig was cast I thought Kevin McKidd might be a good choice to follow Craig. However he's still very young (only 34? i think) to be Bond. What does everyone else think of Kevin McKidd?

The problem is he looks very, very similar to Daniel Craig, so much so that EON could recast him as Bond quietly without telling anyone, and at least a third of the audience couldn't tell the difference between him and Craig. It would seem like they were obviously trying to get another Daniel Craig-like actor for the role, which probably wouldn't work.

Anyone up for Hugh Jackman as Bond in 2012, he'll be 44, Roger Moore started Bond at 45. I think Jackman will age just right to get 3 films out of him. He did say he would prefer to play Bond in his 40s, he's 40 next year when Craig's 2nd film comes out. He looks younger then Craig, and physically he's a strong man. By then Jackman would of done or finished with his Wolverine character, as he's planning one soon.
I think Jackman will be just right in 2012.

Man, you're damn right !

I see your point

I've seen a number of performances from each of them, and I don't really think either are right for Bond. Neither really have the charm that is needed.Personally I'm really hoping that Christian Bale or Karl Urban takes over after Craig.
Who should be Bond after Craig? Who knows? They're big shoes to fill. I want to be surprised.

Agreed. I don't think that the person who is going to succeed Craig is even on anyone's radar right now. The only person that has even been discussed previously for the part that I think even has a chance is Henry Cavill, but other than the possibility of him as Bond, I think that we're looking at someone who isn't very well known, much like Craig was when he was first rumored for the part.

Charm is a subjective term.
Eighteen months ago I would have said that Daniel Craig didn't have the charm to play Bond either. And even today I will say that he doesn't hold a candle in terms of charm to Connery, Moore or Brosnan.
Daniel Craig is likable, but not charming. Craig is the kind of guy I would probably be turned off of as being too rough at first sight. But would change my mind about after having a good 15 minute chat with.
I personally find Karl Urban to be very sexy and charming. And Christian Bale has showed me that he certainly is versatile and talented enough actor to play any part presented before him.

Same. Surprise me with someone who is currently on no one's radar. Between now and then, however, let's enjoy The New Golden Era.

One aspect everybody seems to overlook with the series reboot is not just to move 007 out of the cold war era but to through away peoples expectations of the series. The reason they did not renew Brosnan's contract is not just age but that he represents and inspired the ongoing dapper tie adjusting James Bond started in DAF in 1971. They tried to reboot the series after Moore and even talked then about starting anew with Dalton but they changed the character within' the old template and though I loved it it did not work with the wider audience(Or never had the chance because of law suits - Just think at how the Bond world would view Moore if he stopped after TMWTGG).
Anyways the way I'm reading this complete reboot is that there's no going back to Moonraker or DAD(Or Satellites to destroy the world - 3 out of 4 Brosnan Baddies used satellites...Boring). Funny enough LTK one of the most hated Bond movies is the template for the reboot. In this post Cold War/911/Bourne world actors who will portray Bond like Connery in DAF and Moore/Brosnan after that wont be welcomed I'm afraid. The days of just looking and sounding British to play 007 are over. You now have to BE Ian Fleming's James Bond 007(Like Connery/Dalton/Craig or Moore killing Fekkesk/Brosnan killing King).
-----------------------------------------------------------
M - "There's only a Quantum of Solace in any act of Revenge. You may find in the end Bond, that the consolation you receive does not live up to the pain."
BOND - "Yes but the pain is mine...and so shall be the solace."

Jackman? Sure. I'm betting that the next phase of Bond is to be Craig-lite. More smiles, more flippancy, more puns. Something like what Brosnan was to Dalton, except with appropriate acting and much better scripts.
Or, someone else who works. That would...
um...
work.
I'm hoping there's another Craig out there somewhere.

I'm not hoping too much. When in the history of the series has the tone of the character remained consistent from one Bond actor to the next?Jackman? Sure. I find him cold and unlikable.I personally find Karl Urban to be very sexy and charming.
I haven't seen a lot of versatility from him. He generally plays rather dour folks... I've never seen him relax, let loose, and have fun. Which Bond needs to do now and again. That relaxed, hedonistic spirit is what makes Bond what he is.And Christian Bale has showed me that he certainly is versatile and talented enough actor to play any part presented before him.
