Okay, as a boredom fighting exercise I decided to list the top 2 songs from each of the soundtracks for the Bond movies through OHMSS (since I own all of them). So, one Bond fans purely subjective list of the top two songs from each of these soundtracks:

Dr. No:

James Bond theme
Dr. No's Fantasy

Honorable Mention: Under the Mango Tree; Jamaica Jump Up; Twisting with James

From Russia with Love:

OO7
James Bond with Bongos

Honorable Mention: James Bond is Back; 007 Takes the Lector; Girl Trouble

Goldfinger:Into Miami; Bond Back in Action

Honorable Mention: Auric's Factory, Alpine Drive, Arrival of the Bomb and Countdown.

Thunderball:

Fiona's Death
Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Honorable Mention:

Gunbarell/Traction Table, etc.;Underwater Mayhem, etc.; Cafe Martinique; 007

You Only Live Twice:

Main Theme; Fight at Kobe Dock

Honorable Mention: Bond Averts World War Three; James Bond in Japan

On Her Majesty's Secret Service:

Main Theme; Journey to Blofeld's Hideaway

Honorable Mention: This Never Happened to the Other Fellow; Escape from Piz Gloria

By the way, if I had to do this for Casino Royale, my two picks would be Bond, James Bond and African Rundown with an Honorable Mention to Blunt Instrument.

Anyone have any different suggestions?

also Airbase Jailbreak, Where Has Everybody Gone?, Approaching Kara

those are all the soundtracks i have at the moment and imo the best, but i should get the others in due time..

if u play those tracks you'll notice a lot of them are 'sneaky' tracks (or more moody ones), but i suppose theres a good mix of faster ones too (like in FYEO etc)

Favourite soundtracks would have to be Moonraker, OHMSS and TLD and worst imo (out of the ones i have) are LALD and TSWLM

hope u enjoyed reading [and listening]!~

Good choices as well. I have three different Bond playlists in my IPOD, one that goes with other spy themes (Man From UNCLE, etc.), one of Bond songs only themed for adventure (particularly driving) and one of "lounge Bond" more mellow stuff. What I'd like to be able to do is take part of a long medley on the soundtracks (like James Bond in Japan) and only download part of it as sometimes Barry tacks on boring parts to really good parts.

Hi friends,

why don't have a look at non-Bond Barry soundtracks. A lot of them contain motives used in Bond tracks:

The Girl with the Sun in her Hair:
Some markable tunes heard in "Bond lured to Pyramid" from Moonraker

Vendetta:
Some tunes also used in the piece after Bond has fixed Hendersons killer in "You only live twice"

Quite fascinating... Do you agree ?
