CR's IMDB profile

Casino Royale moves back into the Top 250 after a brief spot on the list shortly after its release. With an adjusted 8.0 rating at #182, CR is back on the Top 250 after falling off the list soon after its release. It's now back on the list, with several other new films, such as 300, which also featured on the list even before it was released but then falling out after hitting theaters.

It deserves to be there. And some people use that Top 250 as a guide for what movies to watch/buy.

Given that its a mere six places above a, er, classic like SNATCH, being on this "top" list seems to be a dubious honour.

I'm wondering if it will even stay, let alone move up. IMDB's rating system is structured to allow votes from users with regular voting habits to have more weight than trolls, so hopefully all the CnB folk have finished their barrage of voting 1's and CR will stay (or move up) on the list.

Looking at the titles in that top 250 I can't say honestly that CR belongs there.

Take a closer look...are you really saying that Casino Royale is not worthy enough to belong next to, say, Grindhouse, Hot Fuzz, Snatch, The Matrix, Kill Bill volume 2, Blood Diamond, or 300?

i really like all of those movies except for 300 which i did not particularly care for and i have still not seen blood diamond yet. i would personally put casino royale above those other ones which i still like a lot, especially grindhouse, hot fuzz, snatch, and kill bill.

In that light I find it very soothing that none of the newer movies got a shot at the top 50. I guess class can't be faked in the end.

Very logical point (although if a newer movie is definitely deserving of one of the spots, I'm more than happy to see it on there).

Casino Royale is probably the best received Bond film in recent history and is a great film action-wise or not and it deserves it's spot. If films like Walk the Line, Pirates of the Caribbean, or Lion King can be on the list, I see no reason why Casino Royale isn't deserving.
