A quick embarassing question. Who's trunk does Mathis stuff the dead bodies into? I'm watched CR several times and I still can't figure it out. I assume it's one of LeChiffre's men, but I don't recall seeing that person before. Your assistance appreciated.

He's one of Le Chiffre's henchmen named Leo. I believe you can briefly see him earlier when the casino scenes are about/have just begun.

There really are alot of villains in this movie.

I admit the title of this topic threw me. I was trying to remember a steamer trunk appearing in CR. :cooltongue:

Yes, when Bond first walks into the casino, he passes Leo and Kratt on the stairs.

I think it would have helped if it had said whose car's boot.

I thought someone found a pair of trunks and wanted to return them.

It is probably the most obscure person in Le Chiffre's little entourage though, I don't think we ever fully see his face. It would have been more effective if it was weird looking bald guy Kratt who got arrested, or even Valenka.

But I'm an American, so perhaps I should have said "whos car trunk?". In any case, if anyone wants to discuss Craig's bathing trunks (I think he has at least two different pairs in the movie) or elephants hiding somewhere in the Hotel Splendide, that's fine, please continue. I'm amazed that I posted a simple nagging question, which I appreciate receiving the answer to and that this thread has generated more action than my other: "Lazenby: Fleming's Bond or Poor Man's Connery?" thread. There's a lesson there, but I'm not sure what.

I thought this bit was a little odd too- we understand that it's set back Le Chiffre a bit, but the guy is so hard to recognise it's not clear why. His car is very distinctive, though- I imagine it made an earlier appearance that was cut.

Thank you for asking this. I reasoned that from the context of the situation that he was one of Le Chiffre's entourage but his face is so indistinct and hardly on the screen for any length of time that I doubted my conclusion.
