You people should just get the R3 DVD, and get on with it !
Does that have all the little edited shots in it?
Though it's not just about that, I'd love to see the full deleted scenes like the cricket match (which we know was filmed at Eton), extra bathroom fighting clips, the card tearing, underwater swimming shot etc.
I also wonder if they filmed the scene where Bond removed Bliss from the train which was in the script?
A "Director's Cut" with plenty of extra footage in the actual film would be amazing, whatever the price :-P Give it a 15 rating and any extra clips of footage that would lend a particular scene a more hard hitting feel and more gravitas could be put back in as it was meant to be. The little things make the scene. That small shot of Le Chiffre dropping the rope on Bond saying "..Such a waste!" gave a really menacing edge to the scene, so much so that I remembered it clearly from seeing it once at the cinema and miss it in the DVD.
The legs flailing when the guy is being drowned in the sink is really interesting too, and there's a longer shot on Craig's face when he's shoving the guy down which makes it more intense on that particular shot.
I suppose for the bathroom fight there's the problem of the music cue being a certain length...but if I were them I'd record it again to fit a new cut. It's not a long scene frankly. They must have done that for Lord of the Rings extended cut DVD's.
