Chapter 1
Just a Usual Checkup
He closed the door behind him and the room he was in became very dark. He pointed his gun out to make sure that no one saw him and he progressed down the dark hallway towards a beam of light ahead of him. The floor was wooden and he had to be careful not to make it creak. He made his way towards the light which started at a turn in the hallway. He placed his back against the wall, and James Bond, 007, turned into the luminous hallway.
It was just a usual checkup on the Russians, which he had been assigned to do once a year for each of the last 11 years. Every double 0 had been assigned to a different building, warehouse, or factory in Russia to go to once a year and report back any usual or unusual activity. Year after year he came to this same factory in Syktyvkar, a manufacturer of Russian army supplies such as new rifles, pistols, and machine guns. There was never anything too important being created there, but he had to report everything manufactured and all important personnel at the factory. For this he had to memorize a list of 200 Russian figureheads
