I'm a big flag collector (you can see the collection I have in my classroom at Imperial Flags) and was wondering if anyone shares this passion with Bond flags such as the flag for the fictional country of Nambutu in Casino Royale
As well, in this screen shot of Never Say Never Again one can see the flag used by SPECTRE which is pretty unimaginative, to be honest. But why would any member of SPECTRE advertise himself as a member by having a black bag display the flag, or fly it from a castle on the North African coast? If it's a secret organisation, doesn't that defeat the purpose?
I ask this after having watched Octopussy last week and noticed the flag the eponymous woman has on her boat at 28.47. I'm more for red ensigns, myself.

Not being a huge expert on the subject, I was wondering how many Bond-related flags there must be? Is the potential collection quite small?

There couldn't be many, although I think it would be cool (if not downright subversive) to fly the SPECTRE flag.
On a somewhat related note I appreciated seeing the old Canadian flag at the beginning of 'From Russia with Love' during the chess match (which, incidentally, used Boris Spassky's ending against Bronstein in the 1960 USSR Championship):

By this time the flag had changed and the Scottish arms only had one border and the Irish harp didn't have the female form.
By the way, I always thought that the match was completely phony- smoking in the middle of a game I'm sure wasn't permitted even in the swinging sixties and the Canadian chap seemed like a complete idiot-

"Oh! Mate! Where did that come from?!"

Here's an image of a sheet of British stamps celebrating the Union flag with Bond!
