Fort Knox, Kentucky is about as Wild west American as Bond can go!
I'd say Spectreville is about as Wild West as Bond can go.

Fort Knox, Kentucky is about as Wild west American as Bond can go! How about Manitoba? ^_^
Okay, not Manitoba, but somewhere in Canada. Fleming sent Bond to Canada in FYEO, so tell me: what the [cuss] is wrong with my flippin' country? ???

Professor Joe Butcher was his name. Played by Wayne Newton.
Thanks Mr*.

And Kansas? "If we destroy Kansas the world may not hear about it for years".

The reason?
We received an e-mail from Raymond telling us that the storyline was in fact false and that he wasn't working on any such novel.

By the way, I'd read Thunderball before DAF, so I thought Blofeld would be living there. I'm surprised they never used the location in the film. Then again, I'm surprised they never used anything in the film! ^_^

I'm actually a little disapointed to hear it's false, I thought that sounded like a really original idea for a Bond novel.

I'm with you; it does sound kind of cool. I think I just said in another thread I'd like to see a Benson/Bond book set entirely in the USA. Oh well.RossMan (02 Apr, 2002 01:05 a.m.):

LOL! I suppose the closest the movies has is the 'mock' Western in Scaramanga's Funhouse in The Man with the Golden Gun rm1
