yes guys, you read it first. I could be wrong. I could be right. Many said his interpretation was reminescent of Christopher Walken Zorin in AVTAK.
Listening to the bonuses on Disc 2 of the CR DVD, I have a hunch that in "natural", Mads Mikkelsen sounds just a tad bit different, and perhaps he was dubbed... by a very close voice twin cousin... Christopher Walken...
I'm not saying it's the truth. I'm just suggesting it...

I mean... dubbing is a years long Bond tradition. Especially for foreign actors.

I just watched "Flickering Lights" recently, and his voice in Danish sounded pretty similar, but I could be wrong.. I've read interviews in English with him though, and he seems pretty fluent (so the accent wouldn't be an issue).. I dunno, I think it's his real voice..

They may be similar, but it is definitely Mikkelsen.

Nobody dubbed Mikkelsen in Casino Royale.

For some reason that made me think of Patrick Swayze saying "Nobody puts Baby in the corner". :cooltongue:

and nobody dubs Mads!

He sounds a bit Dutch in CR I think.

Thanks, is accent is indeed worse in the interviews sections, I guess he made a good effort overdubbing himself at the final stage.

Okay, it's a completely wrong notion but an interesting idea.

Let's turn the table shall we? What would Mads have been like telling Butch about his father's watch in PULP FICTION.

Mads is Walken's son. Hence the voice similarity. Walken is a stud who is known to have about 1214 sons and 1324 daughters at the current count. He is expecting another baby this weekend.

Walken rules...

Didn't Mads say in an interview he based some of his performance in CR off Walken?

Trust me, you'd know. Walken has a tendency to go high pitched now and then.

Oh and yeah, Walken does indeed rule.

No dubbing. That's definitely Mads.

Certainly an interesting similarity, but there would never be dubbing in a Bond film these days. If I remember correctly, a few actresses were not hired for the role of Vesper because their English wasn't good enough.

Being a native of Denmark, I can safely say that MM was not dubbed for CR, it is indeed his voice, and IMO you can easily hear his Danish accent, which in general is much more thick than that of Swedes.
