Well, I'd give it one hell of a shot, along with all the other fanfic authors on these forums:p. I'm writing a fanfic set in the Dalton era, yes, Dalton era, you heard me correctly BP! For once, something you might appreciate!

Nope, you would naver guess (although that has given me an idea), its our gal Paris Carver, lol! Yup, I'm doing the story when Bond left her, prior to events of TND.

Good idea! They were meant to be old flames and it would be interesting to know about the events prior to TND

Well, I had a few ideas but they kinda went down the drain when a staff member told me otherwise. That's actually helped me, so I didn't put up my original ideas and made a fool of myself:p. I have ordered the TND novelisation, so I should know what to write now.

Larry Bond, as I've just said in another post, I love his novels The Enemy Within and Day of Wrath, as well as his collaboration with Tom Clancy, Red Storm Rising.
Gayle Lynds- Yes a female, but I think she might pull it off. She's written two of the three books to Robert Ludlum's Covert-One series. I have a copy of one of her original novels, Mosaic, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I've been meaning to do so but have too many other books I still have to read.
I often wondered how John le Carre would do if given the chance to write a Bond novel.
Frederick Forsyth. Need I say more? The Day of the Jackal is a masterpiece. Though I think I remember reading an article (007forever?) where he stated he wouldn't want to do it.
Those are all I can think of at the moment.
Carver, think for you Dalton era fanfic, you'll cover how Bond got back into the service after resigning in LTK? Good luck with that project, sounds good.

I'm gonna go and spoil it all now by saying that it is set just before TLD:(. BTW, when I write it, I imagine Brosnan as Bond, and not Dalton, weird or what? Maybe its becuase I associate Brosnan with Bond more than Dalton

That's what I want
Ross, I've scanned The Man from Vladiwostock and I like it better than High Time To Kill and Zero Minus Ten! I have to read full yet, but as I am reading Never Dream Of Dying at the moment, it'll have to wait a week or so
