Greater Union at Burwood in Sydney (my local cinema) are commencing a series of Retro Late Escapes at 10.30 p.m., ten bucks admission.
2nd and 3rd August is OCTOPUSSY
9th and 10th August is A VIEW TO A KILL
and
16th and 17th August GOLDENEYE.
A chance to see Bond on the Big Screen where he belongs.

I started a thread a while back about old Bond movies being put on the big screen. If I remember correctly, some people thought it would never happen.
I just wish they'd put them on in the cinemas where I live.

Hey that's great news White Persian! I'll have to check to see if there are any Greater Union in Melbourne! Not sure, but I think we only have one or two left these days!

Does anyone know if they are being shown in any other Australian locations?

I'm attempting to get in touch with Greater Union locally. I guess that's the best bet.

Lucky, lucky, lucky. The only time they air Bond in the U.S. is on TV and they just took it off the air.

This is a little spooky because the first time I ever saw Octopussy in the cinema was at the GU in Burwood. I only lived across the road from the Westfields carpark.Originally posted by White Persian

Wow, wouldn't it've been great if I could see it there again.
