It involved Bond chasing Sir Hilary Bray's assistant across the rooftop and to the post office near the College of Arms.
Storyboards, contact sheets, and a few stills exist - but no footage survives.

Yes, this rooftop scene is on the UE DVD as an easter egg. Go to the main menu. Press the arrow up key two times very fast, then press the arrow down key two times, then press right and then left arrow twice as fast and it will start playing.Did any of these deleted scenes make it onto the UE DVD for OHMSS?

It's sad that you responded so fast to my reply... I was hoping someone would actually try that
I normally loathe practical jokes. But I must admit, the idea of Bond fans with their remotes in their hands desperately moving arrows backwards and forwards, believing, perhaps, they were moving them too quickly, or not quickly enough, was delicious...

I didn't. I don't have the UE DVD for On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I just wanted to know if it would be more the money to shell out the money for it. I think I'm content to stay with my Special Edition DVD until EON actually releases the "Ultimate Special Edition" DVD with those deleted scenes.

doublenought never jokes about OHMSS
And right he is to step in so fast. There are enough unfounded silly rumours, and especially this one shows up every few months

Exactly. Before you know it, the statement could be on the IMDB, Wikipedia, and a ton of other web sites proclaiming the "fact".
And yes Royal Dalton - they rehearsed some of the scene, and then it was abandonded because it was too complex and costly for such a minor plot point.

Hey doublenought, I thought I read or heard on the DVD that Lazenby sprained his foot running along the wall or rooftop and that was the final nail in the coffin for the scene. They apparently filmed a portion, but not the entire scene. Your comments?

He said he sprained his arm climbing. The contact sheets and call sheets don't reflect that though.

What actually happens in the scene, how does it play or was supposed to play in the film?
