Ok so this maybe an odd question, but I am curious if anyone knows what the name of the haircut style Craig got for Casino Royale? I would prefer specifics on hair length, size of comb attachment (1,2,3 etc), where it was used, etc.

The reason for this is well... I want to try that haircut out on me, but every person that cuts it seems to make my head look like a basketball (which is a little more then embrassing).

Would someone please be willing to help me with this odd request? Or at least point me to a celebrity hairstyles site or something!

Thanks,
Blue

Yes, tell us! I can sort of get it if I get a grow my hair out really long, get a military haircut without getting much off the top and leaving my bangs growing long. My hair's corse enough from swimming to the point where i can just push my bangs back and they'll stay up kinda...But yeah, knowing the actuall specifications would be nice

First I tried a #2 on the sides and a #3 on top. But that was too short.

Then I tried a #3 on the sides and a #4 on top. But that was too short.

Then I tried a #4 on the side and a hand trim on top. And that was just right.

blue, if you want this kind of detail, you really must write the studio.

P.S. Sarcasm aside, Welcome to CBn. We really are a friendly bunch.

Which studio would you recommend that I contact? I know many were involved with Casino Royale. Is there a particular e-mail that you could give?

I'm no stylist but Dan's cut looks like a typical roman style cut. Short and a bit thin.

Then I tried a #4 on the side and a hand trim on top. And that was just right.

That is what I'm currently using and it looks and feels right!

THe problem with trying to get a cut like Craig's in CR if if your head is not shaped like Daniel Craig's, it will look TOTALLY different.

If anything, DC's hair at the back needs to be trimmed more, it was hanging over his collar when he was wearing his tux, it looked like and embryonic form of a mullet ( just like PB's in GE, thank goodness it was trimmed better for TND )

So you just take a #4 around the sides and get the top trimmed?

Would someone be willing to post some pictures of their haircut?

I have also heard it was a "high fade" that was used. Is this true?

I should find a hairstyle board lol

Or just go to the hairdresser with a photo of DC as James Bond and ask for the same? Is that too difficult?

Go to kinko's or somewhere else with high quality printers and print a copy that you find on the internet. :cooltongue: (Seems a lot of work for a haircut, no? )

Once you get the photo, have it enlarged, fold it just so and wear it as a hat; your hair will be indistinguishable from Daniel

You don't. You get a new one done regularly - and the beauty of it is that you can tint the copy so you can have pink DC hair one week, blue the next etc. And it's so low maintenance! You never have to wash or brush or even get a trim, you merely need a Kinko or any other copy store nearby. It makes me wonder why we've all been bothering with real hair all this time!

That's what I thought, too.

Craig's hair looked a bit like a bog brush, really.

He scrubbed up pretty well, though. :cooltongue:
