Just a quick heads up to those other Aussies on here, dont worry about waiting until the release date on wednesday, stores are already selling Casino Royale. I picked mine up this morning from EzyDVD in Macarthur Square. There were a couple of other stores selling it too.
Feel sorry for the stores doing the right thing and waiting until they are supposed to sell it, but oh well.

My sister rang me last night to say it was already selling in Canberra too.

I pre-ordered my so, naturally, I'll most likely get it the day after the advertised release date of the 4th.

Hey, Mister Tambourineman. When you've watched it, can you let us know if the Region 4 disc is censored in any way, please?

I didnt notice any censoring. Is there anyplace in particular that got censored in other regions that I should be looking out for?

The shot of the rope over Bond's shoulder is missing from the torture scene on the UK Region 2 disc.

The Region 1 disc has some shots removed from the bathroom fight. Things like Obanno's head smashing through the window, and the other thug hitting the ground, are missing from the stairwell fight, as well.

I wasn't expecting to see the same cover art for every region this time (Die Another Day's initial DVD had a few variations).

The HMV here probably have it now. They generally have a healthy disregard for release dates.

Casino Royale Region 4 DVD Released Today

Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, South America...

Got the dvd today and just watched it. No edits are in the film, it is just the way I saw it in the theatre, thank God!

I went to get the poker set, but they said it wasnt ready yet and will call when it is. A shame, but I guess the DVD is more important.

Yup! No joy today.

I hope there isn't any confusion with the order processing as a result of me cancelling the naff casino set that EzyDVD were offering with pre-orders. The site IS showing that my order has shipped though.

As far as I can tell, there arent any edits.

Im loving the CR presence in shops at the moment, theyre really pumping it. CR posters and standees everywhere you go.

It's also released today in Argentina.

I learnt about it one month ago. I called LK-TEL (The DVD & VHS distributors of Sony) and they told me that they can't give any information to a particular buyer. So I asked in a Video Shop and they told me it's released today.

Same here. Went in to pick it up on Wednesday to find that the Poker set hadn't arrived with the DVD and that it wouldn't be due till next week. Managed to look at one they had on display though and was suprised by the quality, so I look forward to it's arrival. Still, was pleased to at least get the movie.

Bought it last night. The rope on the shoulder is in there, as is the Ugandan landing at the bottom of the stairwell.

I noticed other cuts however - the briefase retrieved by Mr White from the water, and the shot of the poisoned drink from the tray's point of view.
