1/ Parkour scene, enough said about this already! Simply awesome,I didn't want it to end!

2/ Bond's declaration of love to Vesper-Bond seems so vulnerable, almost a little pathetic. What superb acting from Craig-all of a sudden he's not tough in the slightest.

3/ Final scene-one of the coolest bits in a film...ever. Brilliant editing,scoring,delivery-everything.

Maybe we ought to have a TEN favourite scenes from Casino Royale!?

1. The final scene. Sums it all up. Hearing the voice on the phone and then the quick burst of violence. The first time long, agonised, lingering pain is seen in a Bond film. Crawling for- for what? Sanctuary? And then the best part of the film- the music. First time we heart the Bond signature tune perfectly synchronised to Bond's shadow. When we see Bond, it reminds me of Dalton with the bluish 3-piece suit, one hand casually checking his messages, the other a sniper's rifle. "Bond. James Bond." DA DAAAA!!!!!!!!!! DA DAAAA!!!!!!! DA!!! DA DA DAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
I spent a week just listening to that track on my ipod (my bike had been smashed in a car accident and while I was getting it repaired had to walk 1h30m home every night).
2. The CREDITS! Best of them all!! I love the theme song (I appear to be one of the few) and watched mouth agape. The use of Bond and the violence throughout was a revelation and tells you this is not going to be anything you've seen before. The animation is superb and then as he walks defiantly towards the camera at the end, literally 'in your face', I knew there could be no way the film could go back.
3. The opening scene. One of my students hates it "because all they do is run." Stupid girl!!! EVERYTHING worked. It never let up and when I saw this in the theatre my girlfriend and I kept looking at each other eyes wide open which said "Did you see that?!?!?!"
The fact that the bad guy was 3X better than Bond in every way was a great idea and showed how much of a blunt instrument Bond is. Favourite part of this scene? Bond SMASHING through the wall after the chased jumps effortlessly over it. No wait, it was... Damn, there were so many classic moments in that scene alone, and I haven't words to describe them. Admittedly the end of this scene was a bit of a let-down (how was he able to let off a shot without at least one of the guards aiming right at him, finger on the trigger, let off a shot?!) but when you see such action, you let it pass.

Only THREE scenes?!!? How about ONE more: After going on about their roles to Vesper and making this long drawn out description of their pretend relationship, when they get to reception the woman asks "name?"
"James Bond."
No wait- I saw the film the third time in a special screening one night in my classroom (it has a large screen) with a former Danish soldier (who thought it funny that Mads Mikkelsen who played a priest his last movie was now a villain) and we both gave the thumbs up when Bond simply said "No." after M told him she didn't think that emotional involvement was a problem for him after walking away from his last lover's corpse.
OUTSTANDING FILM. Gotta go watch it again...

#2 - Bond vs. Mollaka. A brilliant chase with some very fancy footwork and a great music cue from David Arnold.

yeah, African Rundown is one of the best soundtracks on the OST...well, the Madagascar train scene fights for #1 with it...now, where did I put that cd? <g>

1. "Yes . . . considerably." That line sold me. From that point on, I was absolutely convinced that Craig was Bond.

2. The shower scene. No explanation needed. :cooltongue:

3. "Oh, well that's fine then." I loved seeing the more human side of Bond in this light moment, when Vesper is teasing him about his "line" in the restaurant.
