Hang on a minute - this seems only to be available in London and the South East!

What is this some kind of deep south racist slight against us Northerners?

:cooltongue:

Brilliant! The Guardian is always an obligatory purchase on a Saturday anyway, but this'll be an extra reason!

Now on the CBn main page...

To be included with the Guardian on 7 April 2007

This looks very cool! Why can't we ever get these sorts of things in the US?

To be honest, I buy The Guardian every day, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit to flicking to the Screen Burn column as soon as I open The Guide. :cooltongue:

So for those in the know, what do these supplemental Rough Guides look like? Are they little books, or magazines?

For those of you outside London who are distressed that you can't get a copy....rejoice! CBn and YBD will be giving away 10 free copies. Watch the CBn main page this week for details.

Has anyone got hold of this, because I live in the South of England and its not available with the Guardian down here. Perhaps it's just exclusive to London?

It's exclusive to London and the "South East"...whatever that means. My buddy lives in Ealing (West London) and he has a copy. (BTW, it contains a nice ad for Young Bond 4 which will go up on my site shortly.)

Looking quickly through it, it's a very nice 64-page book that's slightly bigger in size than the Mini Rough Guides that are published, and has a nice matte-finish cover.

It's split into three sections (The Back Story, On The Trail and Time Off, which deal with the history of James Bond and London in the '30s, a guide to the locations of Double or Die and other sights in London).

Highlights look to be a (too brief) interview with Charlie Higson, a Rough Guide to Cracking Codes and an ad for Young Bond 4.

Not a great deal in the way of revelatory Young Bond content, other than a hint that Double or Die's villain, Babushka, may potentially return...
