The U.S. paperback version of DOUBLSHOT is out today (June 5, 2001)! Of course, the UK paperback was released last year, only THREE MONTHS after the hardcover. I think this is the way to go. Why wait a year, especially in the age of the Internet when we can just jump to Amazon.co.uk?
I wonder if this means the UK paperback edition of NDOD is imminent?

You're kidding me? On today? My God. I thought Australia was bad and we've had it for sale (though you had to eitehr find the right library or order it) for about 6 months now. I've seen it stocked in various movie stores though! Wow, what a delay!!

But if you've already got the hardback, is there a point of getting the paperback as well? Unless if you're one of those dedicated collectors?
