Well, there have been quite a few other 00s in the novels and the films.

Yes, indeed. I also don't really feel that I can equate a specific number to a gender. I don't want to see another 00 in BOND 22 anyway; I feel the focus should remain on Craig's Bond for the moment.

If we do, couldn't they just be background characters, like 008 and 0011 in Moonraker.

Quite right. :cooltongue:

Perhaps later on, but not in the film to follow up Casino Royale.

Well, we've certainly had glimpses. In both TB and TLD, they've all been men, but in TWINE during the King briefing at the castle, there is one woman present. Presuming the briefing was all Double-O's, it could be a possibility.

I'm not against it. Hell, the female spies I know, especially around CBn, have a license to kill and then some. :cooltongue:

I actually like the glimpses of the other agents as it reinforces that Bond is part of an organisation rather than a one man military to save the world. However, CR already handled this pretty well with the scenes with M and we didn't need extra characters to show this. M made it clear Bond was replaceable.

If it fits the story use another 00.

It's nice to see breifly another 00 agent, but mostly always get killed. Like 009 in Octopussy and OO2 in The Living Daylights.

It gives the man and the mission a bit more depth, but I wasn't too fussed about seeing Carter in Casino Royale, who obvisouly was a 00 cock up the mission so much. I mean he didn't even look like he should be a 00-Agent, just a rookie.

004 was killed in the PTS of TLD. 002 ended up snagged in the tree.

As for Carter in CR, I thought he was more of an Agent. Bond seemed to be calling the shots and appeared to be the one of the two with seniority on the mission. If Carter was a Double-O, M would have been ranting even more coming out of the Parliament session.

"Carter blows their cover. Bond blows up an embassy. What the Hell's become of the Double-O section?" or something like that.

Where was 002? I remember 007 (Bond), 008(Bill - Moonraker), 0011(Moonraker), 006(OHMSS). I can't remember any other's mentioned.

In Moonraker it is mentioned that there are only 3 "00" agents (007, 008, and 0011). I know others are mentioned in some of the novels, but is it hinted at in any of the other novels if there are ever more than 3 of them?
